A Feast for Life: German comedy starring Christoph Maria Herbst about a wedding host and his team

Plot and background

Wedding planner Dieter (Christoph Maria Herbst) is tired of getting stuck with couples with unrealistic wedding plans and insufficient budgets. Before he hangs up the job for good, one last job is supposed to be the crowning glory of his career. At the dream wedding of Leonie (Mira Benser) and Lasse (Ulrich Brandhoff) in front of the picturesque backdrop of an old castle, everything is supposed to go perfectly. Dieter plans the party down to the smallest detail, but he has not reckoned with his chaotic team. Even before the guests’ tears of joy and champagne start flowing, everything goes haywire behind the scenes. While the headstrong substitute singer Steve (Marc Hosemann) drives Dieter’s assistant Jella (Cynthia Micas) up the wall, photographer Marcel (Jörg Schüttauf) is more interested in the buffet than in his job and temporary waiter Florian (Johannes Allmayer) is unhappily in love with the bride, Dieter tries desperately to keep the disasters away from the wedding party. But the events are just beginning to come to a head and it becomes clear that no one will forget this wedding in a hurry.
