Passages: French drama starring Ben Wishaw and Franz Rogowski in which a gay couple’s marriage reaches a crisis when one of them begins a passionate affair with a younger woman.

Plot and background

Filmmaker Tomas (Franz Rogowski) and graphic designer Martin (Ben Whishaw) have been in Paris together for 15 years. Their marriage is riddled with constant cheating by Tomas, Martin only has a weary shrug for it.

When a completed film project is celebrated in a club, Martin turns his back on Tomas, who gets involved with Agathe (Adèle Exarchopoulos). After an intoxicating night between Tomas and Agathe, Martin again only has a weary shrug of the shoulders, but for Tomas, feelings come into play that he hasn’t felt in a long time. Sooner or later, Martin also gets to know someone who is more interested in him than his husband. But the passion and love between Tomas and Martin is not over yet – says Tomas. A tangled love triangle begins, at the end of which almost everyone could be left with hurt feelings.
