Yuku et la fleur de l’Himalaya: Musical and animated children’s film about an adventurous mouse looking for a special flower
Plot and background
Yuku is an adventurous as well as musical mouse and can play wonderful sounds on her ukulele. As the oldest child in the mouse family, she is expected to fulfill duties, but she is quite similar to her mischievous grandmother. She tells the numerous children about many adventures and the good and bad sides of the big wide world. Yuku is the perfect successor for her when it comes to telling stories to a new generation of mice.
When her grandmother announces that she will soon go underground with the mole, Yuku wants to give her a special parting gift: the so-called Flower of the Himalayas, which grows on a sun-soaked peak. On her adventurous way she makes acquaintance with numerous animals of the forest. Some are kind to her, such as the rabbit and the squirrel, but she must beware of other predators, such as the fox or the wolf. Fortunately, Yuku always has her ukulele with her and knows many fabulous songs. As a result, even cats, the natural enemies of mice, can’t escape her spell.
The playful trailer for the musical comedy is enchanting not only for the youngest audience:
