Soon to be gone from Netflix: one of THE Ab-18 horror films of the 2000s, a 185

The red “N” is sorting out once again: In the coming days, several major titles disappear so from the assortment of the streaming platform – from “Hostel” and “Star Trek Beyond” to “The Inconceivable” and “The Inconceivable 2”.

There’s still a little time left until the end of the month, but since several prominent titles will then disappear from the streaming platform with the red “N”, we want to point you early enough to those films that are only available for a short time on Netflix. Whether it’s a hard-hitting horror smash or a sci-fi blockbuster, an Oscar contender or a family adventure, there’s probably something for everyone here.

The following movies will disappear from Netflix between October 24 and 31, 2023:

“HOSTEL,” “STAR TREK BEYOND” & MORE ONLY FOR A SHORT TIME AT NETFLIX

“Hostel” (available through October 31): Eli Roth’s gory horror tearjerker gained cult status as one of Hollywood’s best-known (and arguably most popular) torture-porn features of the 2000s – and still knows how to shock with some nasty spikes of violence more than 15 years later. “A pleasing, filthy genre feature, nothing more, but also nothing less,” reads the FILMSTARTS review, among others. (3 stars)

“Star Trek Beyond” (available through October 31): While the world of “Star Trek” is currently being spun on with a wide variety of series, the cinematic future of the cult saga has hung in the balance for years. The last part of the series so far has thoroughly convinced us with a mix of the usual large-caliber and astonishing action bombast, nostalgia and humor. (4 stars)

“The Fighter” (available through October 31): The boxing biopic from David O. Russell (“American Hustle”) is a bearish character drama with pointed fight scenes that provide constant adrenaline rushes for audiences. Above all, “The Fighter” will be remembered as great acting cinema – carried by Christian Bale (Oscar-winning), Melissa Leo (Oscar-winning), Amy Adams (Oscar-nominated) and Mark Wahlberg. (4.5 stars)

“Peter Rabbit 2 – A Rabbit Gets Away” (available through October 29): Even though Halloween and then Christmas are just around the corner, “Peter Hare 2” is still worthwhile as a family-friendly action-adventure for young and old – even if the end of October ultimately doesn’t bring on a genuine Easter spirit. (3.5 stars)

“The Incredibles – Now You See Me” (available through Oct. 24): “Rarely has it been so much fun to be fooled by a screen illusion,” FILMSTARTS Editor-in-Chief Christoph Petersen sums up director Louis Leterrier’s (“Fast & Furious 10,” “The Transporter”) magical heist thriller in his review. Fast-paced, over the top and highly entertaining – and with Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman a first-class cast to boot. (4 stars)

“The Incredibles 2” (available through Oct. 24): Will the sequel be able to keep up? That’s exactly what you can see for yourself over the next few days on Netflix. We think: Even if part 2 lacks a bit of the surprise effect and the lightness of the predecessor, the entertaining sequel is a must for all fans of the first part. (3 stars)
