A new Blue Eye Samurai trailer for the upcoming 3D animated revenge series has been released by Netflix, showing more of what to expect from the highly anticipated animated series. Blue Eye Samurai is set to release on the streaming platform on November 3, 2023.
“This provocative and visually stunning cinematic series immerses the viewer in a world of vivid adult animation with a live-action edge,” reads the series’ official description. “Set in Edo-period Japan, Blue Eye Samurai follows Mizu (voiced by Maya Erskine), a mixed-race master of the sword who lives a life in disguise seeking the deliverance of revenge.”
Netflix also announced that the official soundtrack is available now, and features 25 tracks from composer Amie Doherty.

What do we know about Blue Eye Samurai?
Blue Eye Samurai was created by Amber Noizumi and Michael Green, who are also executive producers and writers on the series. Erwin Stoff is executive producing, while Jane Wu is supervising director and producer. A teaser trailer was recently shown as part of Netflix’s Drop 01 event.
The series stars Maya Erskine (Mizu), George Takei (Seki), Masi Oka (Ringo), Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (The Swordmaker), Brenda Song (Akemi), Darren Barnet (Taigen), Randall Park (Heiji Shindo), and Kenneth Branagh (Abijah Fowler). Supporting voice cast includes Stephanie Hsu (Ise), Ming-Na Wen (Madame Kaji), Harry Shum Jr. (Takayoshi) and Mark Dacascos (Chiaki), and more.
