Brown’s Princess Elodie also seems to be well on her way to becoming a damsel in distress. She is to marry the charming Prince Henry (Nick Robinson). But then it turns out that shehas been luredinto a trap by the royal family. She is actually just a sacrificial offering to settle an old debt.

Before Elodie knows it, she finds herself in a pit where ahungry dragonis waiting for her. She doesn’t think about giving up. She resolutely confronts the monster – damsel in distress my ass! It looks like Brown has a good project in the starting blocks with Damsel to establish herself as Hollywood’s next action star.
The film was directed byJuan Carlos Fresnadillo, who has already brought agripping fight for survivalto the big screen with28 Weeks Later. Alongside Brown and Robinson weget to seeAngela Bassett,Robin WrightandRay Winstone. Bassett plays Elodie’s stepmother, while Wright and Winstone take on the role of the royal couple who feed Elodie to the dragon.
