Story: What is the plot of Rebel Moon?
Rebel Moon is about a moon on the edge of the galaxy whose inhabitants are to be oppressed by a violent tyrant called Balisarius (Fra Fee). They send a young woman named Kora (Sofia Boutella) to assemble an army on the surrounding planets to fight the brutal ruler.
Before the new sequel trilogy, Snyder pitched his idea for Rebel Moon to Disney as the new Star Wars film. However, the company turned the director down. It was not until around 10 years later that the film was made with the support of Netflix. The plot of Rebel Moon was heavily inspired by Akira Kurosawa’s classic The Seven Samurai

Rebel Moon Part 1: A Child of Fire is coming to Netflix on December 22, 2023. Part 2, officially titled Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver, will be available on Netflix subscription from April 19, 2024.
