Oppenheimer has been an incredible success at the movies. The 100 million US dollar film was released in July 2023 and has since grossed over 950 million US dollars. Despite its home cinema release, Oppenheimer continues to be shown in individual cinemas – a remarkable success story for a film of this kind.
A historical epic with a running time of three hours and an R rating (comparable to FSK 16 in Germany) rarely has the prospect of such a resounding success at the box office. With Oppenheimer, however, word has gotten around that it is definitely worth investing the time in a visit to the cinema
