Avatar director James Cameron has another revelation up his sleeve alongside the release of Part 3, revealing just how much the 5-part sci-fi epic has come to define his life

James Cameron becomes a New Zealander before the release of Avatar 3
After the theatrical release of all future Avatar films was recently pushed back, James Cameron gave a brief update on the status of Pandora at a press conference:
We’re currently in two very hectic years of post-production. [So the start of Avatar 3] will be Christmas 2025.
James Cameron gave up update on Avatar 3, during an interview at the recent Screen Production and Development Association (SPADA) conference.

Variety also reported from the conversation with 1News that the Avatar director wants to stay in New Zealand “indefinitely” and shoot his films. Previously, the Canadian had mainly filmed in the USA. However, as he has been filming, living and loving New Zealand since the start of production on Avatar – Departure to Pandora in 2007, James Cameron will become a New Zealand citizen in 2024.
