After One Piece, Netflix is filming the next anime hit: This is what Yu Yu Hakuhso

The plot of Yu Yu Hakusho revolves around the teenage bully Yusuke Urameshi (Takumi Kitamura), who dies in an accident and is then given a second chance by the ghost prince Koenma. He is allowed to return to the living and, as a ghost detective, is tasked with defeating dangerous yokai who have escaped from the demon world into the human world.

As the trailer for Yu Yu Hakuhso shows, exciting fights are at the heart of the series, which will particularly delight fans of anime such as One Piece and Dragon Ball Z. For example, Yusuke trains a supernatural fighting power that allows him to shoot huge energy balls, while his comrades-in-arms use rose lassos, energy swords and dragon fists.
According to a Netflix report, 170 cameras were used simultaneously for the fight scenes between humans and demons in order to capture the action in 360 degrees and later combine live action elements and CGI characters in the best possible way.
When will Yu Yu Hakusho start on Netflix?
Yu Yu Hakusho starts next week, on December 14, 2023 on Netflix. The first season will consist of 5 episodes. The series is produced by the Japanese studio Robot, which previously made the manga adaptation Alice in Borderland for Netflix and most recently co-produced the monster movie hit Godzilla: Minus One.
