Fewishly anyone has portrayed the Second World War as gripping and disturbing as Steven Spielberg. The legendary director not only created the masterpiece Saving Private James Ryan, but also an unprecedented war series with the two parts Band of Brothers and The Pacific. Steven Spielberg’s war series shows the fate of American bomber pilots
Masters of the Air revolves around the bomber pilots of the US 100th Bomb Group, who declare war on the Nazi Reich with their flights over Germany. Some return alive from their missions, others are shot down and have to survive behind enemy lines. The description of the trailer promises battles at an altitude of 7000 meters, which should bring viewers closer to the fate of the pilots.
Spielberg and Hollywood star Tom Hanks (The Green Mile) will produce the series. But there is also a long list of stars in front of the camera: Austin Butler (Elvis) and Barry Keoghan (The Banshees of Inisherin) will be seen in Masters of the Air.
When is Masters of the Air coming to Germany?
Fans of Band of Brothers and The Pacific won’t have to wait much longer for Spielberg’s new series. Masters of the Air is scheduled to be released on AppleTV+ on January 26, 2024
