In addition to the Spider-Man films starring Tom Holland, a new animated series has been in the pipeline for years and is set to come to Disney+. The plot of the series is to revolve around a version of Holland’s character in an alternative universe, with the superhero not being voiced by the star himself.

As The Direct reports, the upcoming Marvel production is now officially called Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. It was previously known as Spider-Man: Freshman Year.

Recently, we received the rather worrying news about the animated Spider-Man series that the development status of the production could be affected by Marvel layoffs. So far there is no official information on this. The Direct speculates that Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man could only be designed for one season from the outset.
