Andre Braugher was mainly active as an actor in films and series
Braugher was born in Chicago on July 1, 1962. He graduated from Stanford University and New York’s Juilliard School in 1984 and 1988 with a degree in Dramatic Arts. He first appeared as an actor in the war drama Glory alongside stars such as Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman.
In the course of his career, he has also appeared in films such as Deadly Proximity with Bruce Willis, Poseidon by Wolfgang Petersen, Salt with Angelina Jolie and most recently She Said by Maria Schrader about the Harvey Weinstein scandal.

In addition to films and series, Braugher has also worked as a theater actor. He was honored with an Obie Award for his leading role in Shakespeare’s Henry V at the Delacorte Theatre in New York.

Braugher was married to actress Ami Brabson from 1991. They have three sons together.
