Netflix’s biggest fantasy adventure finally has a start and sics dragons on Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown

In just a few months, Netflix is sending its Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown into battle against dragons. Now the hotly anticipated fantasy film finally has a concrete release date

Among all the Netflix film highlights that await us in 2024, one fantasy adventure promises to be particularly exciting entertainment: in Damsel, Millie Bobby Brown will do away with the clichés of kidnapped princesses who need to be rescued from dragons. Because when Elodie is to marry Prince Henry (Nick Robinson), she has to realize that she is in fact the offering that the royal family is making to the fire-breathing monster.

However, the teaser trailer for Damsel has already shown us that the Stranger Things star is by no means so easily sacrificed. Instead, the sword-wielding princess strikes back in Netflix’s fantasy actioner and shows both human and monstrous opponents that the last word has not yet been spoken in this fight for survival

When does the fantasy adventure Damsel with Millie Bobby Brown start on Netflix?

In the wake of the Hollywood strike, the launch of Damsel, originally planned for October 2023, was postponed to 2024. After that, it was unclear for a long time when Netflix would send its defensive princess to fight the dragon. But now the streamer has finally announced the exact start date of Damsel

Damsel will be released on Netflix on Friday, March 8, 2024. The film is directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later). After over 250 new Netflix films in 2023, Damsel is one of the first highlights of the new streaming year.

In addition to Netflix great Millie Bobby Brown (from Stranger Things and Enola Holmes), the cast also includes well-known stars such as Nick Robinson (Love, Simon), Robin Wright (The Princess Bride), Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Expanse) and Angela Bassett (Strange Days).
