The end of each season of The Mandalorian is a difficult farewell for Star Wars fans. Especially because they now have to wait endless months for new adventures with Grogu/Baby Yoda and Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal). But now they can at least look forward to another major project with the two galactic heroes: The Mandalorian is to be made into a feature film

As StarWars.com reports, The Mandalorian & Grogu titled feature film is set to begin production in 2024. Series creator Jon Favreau is in the director’s chair, with Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), among others, at his side as producer.

Nothing is yet known about the story of the film. “The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is exciting,” said Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy. “The new story is perfect for the movies.”

When is The Mandalorian movie coming to theaters?
It is not yet clear exactly when The Mandalorian film will be released. Provided the filming of the Star Wars project can be completed this year, we think a release from mid-2025 is likely.
