Western fans need to hurry: A 4-hour spectacle with Terrence Hill is only available to stream for free for a short time. One of the greatest directors of all time helped with the production
Terence Hill and Bud Spencer are an extremely dynamic duo and the core of many childhood memories. But Hill (originally Mario Girotti) is also responsible for terrific action spectacles on his own. For many fans, he played his best role in the western comedies My Name is Nobody and Nobody is the Greatest. Both films are almost four hours of spectacle and can only be streamed for a few more days in the ARD Mediathek.
A master director was partly responsible for Terence Hill’s best western role
The two Nobody films are basically only related by their German titles, but were shot as completely independent stories. In My Name is Nobody, Hill’s character wants to help the ageing gunslinger Beauregard (Henry Fonda) achieve one last feat of glory and puts his life in extreme danger in the process

Nobody is the Greatest, on the other hand, is about a theft that Hill’s Nobody is planning with two cronies: He wants to relieve the racist Major Cabot (Patrick McGoohan) of 300,000 dollars, which are to benefit an indigenous tribe.
The cult status of the two films among western fans is no coincidence. In addition to Hill’s iconic performance, master director Sergio Leone (I Am Dead) is also responsible for their popularity. He came up with the idea for the first film and even sat in the director’s chair alongside Damiano Damiani for the second
How long will the two Nobody films still be available in the ARD media library?
If you want to stream the two western comedies without a subscription and other costs, you have to hurry. My Name is Nobody is still available in the ARD Mediathek until January 14, 2024. Nobody is the Greatest disappears one day later on January 15.
