The hit movie Barbie has won a US film award in a surprising category. Star Ryan Gosling is completely stunned by the award and the video of it delights fans
Barbie was not only one of the two mega-hits of last summer, but has also won plenty of awards since its release. The latest award may surprise some fans. But no one was more stunned than Ryan Gosling.
Ryan Gosling’s Barbie song wins movie award and the star can’t believe it
At last Sunday’s Critic’s Choice Awards, various films from the past year were honored by the Association of American and Canadian Critics. Barbie also took home a total of six prizes. These included an award for best song, which went to Gosling’s plaintive ballad I’m Just Ken. The star herself obviously couldn’t believe it, as videos from the ceremony show

Just days after the event, Gosling’s confused reaction has turned into a meme, with fans responding by the thousands. “Ryan is completely baffled,” writes one, for example. “He thought it was a joke,” explains another.

A third community member offers an explanation for Gosling’s confusion: “I’m Just Ken is good, but […] no comparison to What Was I Made For by Billie Eilish”. Perhaps the actor is of the same opinion. Eilish’s song also went into the Critic’s Choice race for Best Song for Barbie.
Billie should have won . “I’m just Ken” is good , but not good enough . No comparison to Billie eilish’s “What was I made for “

Which song deserves the prize is a question of taste. In any case, the viral Barbie potential has hardly waned even months after the movie’s release. And will not weaken in the future. After all, the film is currently nominated for 12 Grammys
