At first it looked like the most hotly anticipated new Marvel series would be without two fan favorites. But now we can look forward to their big return on Disney+, it has been announced
Marvel’s Daredevil ended his superhero career on Netflix in 2018. With Daredevil: Born Again, the devil from Hell’s Kitchen returns in a new series on Disney+ to build on past successes. After the return initially had no room for Matt Murdock’s most important sidekicks, the relieving news has now come: The new Daredevil series will reunite Matt, Foggy and Karen – and fans are beside themselves with joy.

Disney has been preparing the Daredevil return for some time. After appearances in Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk: The Advocate and most recently Echo, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) is finally to get his own series again. And not alone. A year ago, we received the news that Daredevil: Born Again would also see a reunion with Jon Bernthal’s Punisher. But this news also led to an outcry over the conspicuous absence of Matt’s best friends: Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll).

Daredevil fans lamented that Matt Murdock had formed a law firm with his two closest confidants Foggy and Karen at the end of the final season 3 … and now perhaps the most important people in his life are to be swept under the carpet?! The reliable Scooper Jeff Snider now gives the all-clear in his newsletter The InSneider: Apparently Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson are returning in their roles after all.
Last fall, Disney completely changed its release plans and postponed 7 Marvel series. In the course of this, the Daredevil return was also stopped and completely revised once again. Apparently in favor of the reunion.
What made Matt, Karen and Foggy such an unsurpassable superhero trio in Daredevil was that it was actually only the blind Mr. Murdock who roamed New York as a costumed avenger, but his friends fought no less vehemently for justice. While Matt struck with his fists at night, Karen did journalistic research and Foggy believed in the law, they represented the most diverse facets of how to tackle crime. In the end, however, it was their close friendship, so believable in the series, that elevated the trio above other superhero connections and forever anchored them in the hearts of fans.

The loves of my life: Karen and Foggy’s characters really made Daredevil real and lived-in. They provided more fall height and better emotional payoffs. I’m so glad they’re back. I really couldn’t have imagined Daredevil without them.
After the reunion of the Daredevil trio, however, there is now also a desire for other Marvel heroes from the Netflix series to return.

When does Daredevil: Born Again starts on Disney+?
With the reworking, Marvel fans will now have to wait a little longer for Daredevil: Born Again. The series with its 18 episodes (!) is expected to come to Disney+ in 2025. However, it is questionable whether the current episode count will be maintained
