The Netflix action 60 Minutes with Emilio Sakraya impresses with its martial arts scenes. Two professionals are responsible for them, to whom The Witcher star Henry Cavill also owes a lot
60 minutes is the new number 1 in the movie charts on Netflix. This is not least due to the hard-hitting action scenes in which Emilio Sakraya (Rheingold) sends his opponents to the floor with punches and kicks. The martial arts interludes were designed by Tolga Degirmen and Thomas Hacikoglu, who already made Henry Cavill look like a one-man army in The Witcher.

It was a “huge honor” to build the film’s five big fight scenes with Degirmen and Hacikoglu, Sakraya told TV Digital . According to an interview with GQ, the training for 60 Minutes went on for three months, during which the actor trained “from morning to night”. The specific stunt training with the two Netflix professionals began around four weeks before filming.

The experience of Degirmen and Hacikoglu will have contributed significantly to the gripping action in 60 Minutes. In addition to The Witcher, Hacikoglu was a stuntman in John Wick: Chapter 4 and Mission: Impossible 7 – Dead Reckoning, while Degirmen also coordinated fight scenes for Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.
The stunts in 60 minutes make the Netflix success not only captivating, but almost unique: since the heyday of René Weller or Ralf Moeller, such demonstrative fight scenes have rarely been seen in German film
