Like the animated films, the fantasy remake of Taming Dragons Made Easy is also based on the book series * by Cressida Cowell. Dean DeBlois, who has already directed all three animated parts of Dragon Taming Made Easy, is back as director and screenwriter in the fantasy remake. John Powell also returns as composer. Most of the stars in front of the camera, however, are new.

Among the actors, only Gerard Butler, this time in front of the camera, is returning to his old speaking role as tribal chief “Haudrauf the Stoic”. The main actors have been recast and will be joined by other exciting young stars in the cast:

When will the remake of Dragon Taming Made Easy be released?

The remake of Taming Dragons Made Easy already has a cinema release date: it is set to hit German screens on June 12, 2025. Filming began in mid-January 2024:
