Horror or thriller? Nicolas Cage remains a mystery as a serial killer
Longlegs revolves around FBI agent Lee Harker (Maika Monroe), who follows the bloody trail of a serial killer (Cage). Several families have already fallen victim to him and his occult practices. Harker has a personal connection to him and must stop him before he massacres new victims.
Whether Longlegs is supernatural horror or a straightforward thriller is left open by the trailer. Cage’s character is only seen very briefly. Nevertheless, the video conveys an extremely disturbing mood. Whether it can compete with the atmosphere of The Silence of the Lambs is something fans will hopefully be able to decide later this year.
When will Longlegs with Nicolas Cage be released in cinemas?
Longlegs will be released in the USA on July 12, 2024. A German release date has not yet been set. The film has also found a distributor in this country and could theoretically also be released here in summer 2024.
