The upcoming 5th season of Stranger Things will also star Terminator icon Linda Hamilton. The star has now revealed that this is precisely why she won’t be watching the new episodes
Filming for season 5 of Stranger Things is in full swing. As has been known since mid-2023, a spectacular new addition is joining the cast. Terminator star Linda Hamilton will take on a previously unknown role in the new episodes of the Netflix hit.
So far, the actress has enjoyed watching Stranger Things just as much as all the other fans. But she will no longer be watching season 5
Sci-fi legend Linda Hamilton can no longer watch Stranger Things because of her involvement
In an interview with Us Weekly about the sci-fi series Resident Alien, Hamilton also spoke about the upcoming Stranger Things season. She said that she can no longer take the world from a movie or series seriously if she has been in it herself:
‘When you really get into something, you don’t see yourself in it. I think in a way it ruined the show for me. I never watch [a project] once I’m in it. It would completely take me out of reality if I saw myself in it. That’s why I’m not going to watch [season 5].

Science fiction fans know Linda Hamilton primarily for her role as Sarah Connor in the first two Terminator films. She returned in 2019 for Terminator: Dark Fate.

When does Stranger Things season 5 start on Netflix?
Although filming is already underway, no official start date has yet been announced for the new Stranger Things episodes. Season 5 may not come to Netflix until sometime in 2025
