Dune 2 star Josh Brolin celebrates the upcoming cinema release of his blockbuster. And he’s doing so by retelling its story in a hilarious way. It’s not just millions of sci-fi fans who are looking forward to Dune: Part Two, which will soon be released in cinemas. Star Josh Brolin (Deadpool 2) can hardly wait either. He is so excited about his upcoming film that he retells its story in an Instagram post in such a bizarre way that it will make fans laugh out loud
Josh Brolin pokes fun at his Dune 2 colleagues: “Robot wife and Wonka fall in love “
In an Instagram message, Brolin commented on the Dune 2 premiere with a synopsis of his own choice of words:
Robot woman and Wonka fall in love. And then Elvis messes everything up while his evil dad swims around in a pool of pond slime. The wrestler dude from Guardians of the Galaxy is all pissed off and the pretty girl from Midsommar makes eyes at Wonka-Obi-Wan after his mom is caught doing acid in a sandy bathroom. Chigurh still can’t stand the guy from The Goonies.
Josh Brolin’s quirky synopsis is full of inside jokes:
“Robot Wife” takes the mickey out of Dune 2 star Zendaya, who appeared at the premiere in a very metallic outfit.
Wonka means Timothée Chalamet, who recently enjoyed great success with the movie Wonka
Elvis refers to Brolin’s co-star Austin Butler, who has become very well known for his Elvis role. In Dune 2, he plays the son of the tyrant Harkonnen (Stellan Skarsgård), who takes ominous baths for healing purposes.
“The wrestler guy from Guardians of the Galaxy” is ex-wrestler and Marvel star Dave Bautista.
“The Pretty One from Midsommar” is Midsommar star Florence Pugh as Dune 2 princess Irulan, who is interested in Timothée Chalamet’s protagonist Paul Atreides.
The LSD use of Atreides’ mother, played by Rebecca Ferguson, presumably refers to her use of the Dune drug Spice.
The enmity between Chigurh and the guy from The Goonies refers to Javier Bardem and Brolin himself, who are both on Paul Atreides’ side in Dune 2. The two stars were previously seen together in No Country for Old Men, with Bardem’s hitman Chigurh chasing after Brolin’s character. Brolin played his first major role in The Goonies.
The way Brolin good-naturedly puts his Dune co-stars through the meat grinder is a delight for fans. “Laughed so loud I woke up my sleeping baby,” writes one. Another speaks enthusiastically of the “best movie synopsis I’ve ever read.”
