FSK-18 thriller in which a woman has to fight a psycho sniper: Get the limited mediabook now

by Han

The 18+ thriller Night of the Hunted from France brutally plays with its helpless protagonist in a seemingly hopeless situation and will soon be released as a Limited Collector’s Edition in a Mediabook.

For Night of the Hunted, director Franck Khalfoun and producer Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes) teamed up again after their Maniac remake and had also previously worked together on the disturbing horror classic High Tension. Last year, the result was another suspenseful shocker that keeps you on your toes with devious violence against helpless victims

The psychological thriller, which will be released directly for home cinema in Germany in March, is now available from Amazon as a Limited Collector’s Edition in Mediabook in 4K Ultra-HD with additional Blu-ray. In addition to the movie with 95 minutes running time, there is also a 24-page booklet as bonus material.

This is what Night of the Hunted is about

Alice (Camille Rowe) works as a social media representative for a pharmaceutical company and is driving with her colleague John (Jeremy Scippio) when they stop at a gas station. When paying at the till, however, Alice only finds a bloodstained shelf with an apparent message. As she tries to leave the store, alarmed, she is suddenly shot at from an unknown direction.

With a wound in her arm, Alice just manages to take cover in the store, but every time she leaves her cover, more shots are fired. The unknown gunman makes contact with her via a walkie-talkie lying nearby and the distraught Alice tries to find out why he wants to kill her and how she can escape from this situation …

Now on offer: Night of the Hunted in Limited Mediabook at Amazon

The film is a remake of the also rather unknown La noche del ratón (via IMDb, The Night of the Rat) from Spain and, like the 2015 original by David R. Losada, has received rather mixed reviews from the trade press and viewers (via Rotten Tomatoes ).

Amazon Prime delivers completely bizarre psychological horror

In the Moviepilot community, an average of 5.9 out of 10 points is awarded for The Night of the Hunted. However, genre fans should still get their money’s worth and witness a bloody and nerve-wracking fight for survival, the limited collector’s edition of which will look good on your shelf at home
