The adventure epic Uncharted is currently the most-watched movie on Netflix. Star Mark Wahlberg has now revealed news about part 2.
Mark Wahlberg and Tom Holland have taken over from Indiana Jones. At least that’s how many adventure film fans must have felt when Uncharted became a hit movie in 2022. The adaptation of the video game series of the same name is currently number 1 in Netflix’s film charts. And according to Wahlberg, part 2 has just taken its first big step

According to ScreenRant Uncharted actor Mark Wahlberg:
The producers:inside told me today that they got the script. They were like, “Grow a mustache. It’s going to take a while.” I’m very interested to hear about the new story.

As Wahlberg hints, there are still no official details about the content of Uncharted 2. In part 1, adventurer Victor Sullivan (Wahlberg) sets off with youngster Nathan Drake (Holland) on the hunt for the treasure of the famous Magellan expedition. In the original game, Sullivan sports a lush moustache, which only appeared in a post-credits scene in the adaptation. According to The Direct, however, he could be seen in the sequel from the very beginning.
When is Uncharted 2 coming to theaters?
Uncharted 2 does not yet have an official release date. It is difficult to estimate how much work will be involved in writing the script. In addition to locations, the crew and cast have to be put together in a lengthy process, and the two biggest stars have extremely busy schedules. We don’t expect the film to be released until the end of 2025 at the earliest
