The biggest fantasy series with 11 parts almost completely disappears from Amazon Prime in 4 days

by Han

After three months, we have to say goodbye to one of the best fantasy series on Amazon Prime Video’s streaming service. Only one of 11 films remains.
At the beginning of December 2023, Amazon Prime Video gave all fantasy fans a special treat and added the complete Harry Potter series, including the spin-offs about the Fantastic Beasts, to its program. It didn’t take long for the Hogwarts adventures to lay siege to the streaming service’s Top 10.

The Harry Potter films remained in the Amazon charts for weeks. The first part, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, was even still in 6th place last week. However, you don’t have too much longer to stream the great fantasy films there. The majority will disappear in just four days’ time

All Harry Potter films will disappear from Amazon Prime in 4 days: Only one spin-off of the fantasy series remains

For three months, we were able to immerse ourselves in the Wizarding World on Amazon. From April, only one movie from the fantasy franchise will be available to stream: Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets, the third installment in the spin-off series, which focuses on the battle between Hogwarts principal Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) and the evil wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen).

Here you can watch the trailer for Fantastic Beasts 3:

It is currently unclear whether another streaming service will include the films in its program after Amazon. In the past, the adventures of Harry, Hermione and Ron have been available to stream on Netflix and WOW, among others. For now, however, this is your last chance to explore the secrets of the fascinating wizarding world in full with a streaming subscription.

Only 4 days left on Amazon: You can stream the Harry Potter films here

In case you’ve lost track of exactly how many Harry Potter films there are and what all belongs to the Fantastic Beasts series, you can find all the titles in the order in which they were released here. If you want to watch the films in the chronological order of the story, you’ll have to start with the Beasts, as they are set before the events of Harry Potter

The Harry Potter series includes:

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (Chris Columbus, 2001)
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Chris Columbus, 2002)
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Alfonso Cuarón, 2004)
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Mike Newell, 2005)
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (David Yates, 2007)
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (David Yates, 2009)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 1 (David Yates, 2010)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2 (David Yates, 2011)

The Fantastic Beasts series includes:

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (David Yates, 2016)
Fantastic Beasts: Grindelwald’s Crimes (David Yates, 2018)
Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets (David Yates, 2022)

How will the Harry Potter series continue in the future?

Originally, five Fantastic Beasts films were planned. As the last two parts fell short of expectations financially, the Warner studio has apparently decided to leave the Wizarding World in theaters for the time being. Instead, a Harry Potter reboot in the form of a series awaits us next.

An as yet untitled Harry Potter series with a new cast is currently being created for the streaming service Max (formerly HBO Max). The seven books by J.K. Rowling are to be remade in seven seasons. However, not too much is known about the project yet. Most recently, 2026 was put forward as the target start year
