Amazon apparently won’t let Netflix have Kevin Costner’s western hit without a fight. Yellowstone will soon be available on Prime Video as a streaming subscription. As with the competition, two seasons are missing.
Yellowstone is currently the talk of the town. The neo-western series about the tough land baron John Dutton (Kevin Costner) is considered one of the most popular and successful series of recent years. At the same time, it is currently sinking into a disgrace of The Walking Dead proportions. No wonder Amazon Prime Video doesn’t want to miss out on the hot topic of the moment: after Netflix, the rival streamer is also adding the series to its subscription service

When is Kevin Costner’s western hit Yellowstone coming to Amazon Prime Video?

According to a press release from Amazon Prime Video, Costner’s Western epic will be available on Amazon Prime Video from March 31, 2024. However, as with Netflix, fans of the series will have to accept cutbacks

From the end of March, only the first three seasons of Yellowstone will be available on Amazon Prime Video. The same applies to competitor Netflix, which only added the series to its program in January 2024. All five seasons are available to stream on Paramount+ or Magenta TV.

What’s next for Yellowstone?

Over the course of the series, there was increasing discord between showrunner Taylor Sheridan and star Kevin Costner, who ultimately sacrificed his role in the series for the western epic Horizon. The second part of the fifth season of Yellowstone is scheduled to conclude in 2024 or 2025
