There have been plans for a remake of the dark fantasy spectacle The Crow since 2008. The reboot failed several times, but this year the film is finally coming to cinemas and the first images have now set the mood.
For over 15 years, a remake of the dark fantasy action film The Crow was in the works. The reboot of Alex Proyas’ film, which was overshadowed by the tragic death of lead actor Brandon Lee during filming, was finally realized after several failed attempts.
The new The Crow film is due to be released in June 2024. The first images are already getting us in the mood for the blockbuster, which was directed by Ghost in the Shell director Rupert Sanders

Vanity Fair has shared the first photos showing Bill Skarsgård (It) and musician FKA Twigs (Honey Boy) in their The Crow roles as Eric Draven and Shelly:
In the plot of the movie, the goth rocker and his girlfriend are murdered by former acquaintances of the protagonist. However, they return as the undead thanks to supernatural powers, with Eric mutating into a brutal avenger.

Over the years, various stars have been in talks for the lead role in The Crow reboot or linked to the project. Alongside Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper and Tom Hiddleston, Aquaman star Jason Momoa was firmly cast, but after two years he dropped out of the fantasy reboot. With Skarsgård in the lead role and Sanders in the director’s chair, the new The Crow film could finally be shot.
