Fans of Spider-Man villains and Tom Hardy will have to be very brave now, as the recently revealed film title of the 3rd Venom installment hints at a trilogy finale for the Marvel villain.
The third Venom film from Columbia Pictures and Sony will be entitled Venom: The Last Dance. A last dance? That doesn’t sound like Tom Hardy will have much to do beyond the Marvel villain trilogy as alien parasite carrier Eddie Brock. At most in other films with characters from the comic publisher, such as most recently in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
In addition to the title reveal, a new US release date has also been set for Venom 3, as reported by the Hollywood Reporter. The film by debut director Kelly Marcel will now be released in cinemas on October 25, 2024, just in time for Halloween. In Germany, it will remain on November 7 for the time being.

Venom 3: Marvel antihero Tom Hardy prepares to say goodbye
Due to the Hollywood strike, work on the new Venom film 2023 was put on hold for a while. Since November last year, Hardy has been back in front of the camera with his new co-stars Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor. The actor thanked his team on Instagram and actually revealed the title in the process:
The last dance – thankfully we’re shooting again. […] This journey was and is a lot of fun – there are always difficult moments when working, but it doesn’t feel so difficult when you love what you do and you know you have great material and the support of a great team from all sides.
At the moment, we know nothing about the plot of the film that completes the Venom trilogy. What is certain, however, is that director Marcel contributed the screenplay, as she did for the previous film Venom: Let There Be Carnage, and Hardy is involved in the story.
Venom – anything but box office poison
It’s not just the ever-popular Spider-Man that’s making the box office ring, but apparently also his counterparts who aren’t even from Marvel Studios or the MCU. According to Box Office Mojo, Venom grossed over 856 million US dollars internationally on a budget of around 100 million US dollars. The sequel didn’t quite come close to that, but it also brought in over 506 million dollars on a budget of around 110 million dollars
