For an incredible 37 years, Patrick Stewart has played Star Trek legend Jean-Luc Picard in various films and series. Now the latest story is bundled for home cinema

After a 14-year break, Sir Patrick Stewart returned to the starship and confronted his popular character Jean-Luc Picard with his past. The recently released 9-disc collection contains all 30 episodes of the series Star Trek: Picard and extensive bonus material. Although the series has been declared over, a movie is set to give Stewart’s character a worthy finale.

In addition to the Blu-ray version the complete Picard series is also available on DVD. Look forward to over 7 hours of bonus material on the individual seasons, including the story logbook, audio commentaries, deleted scenes, gag reels and lots of features on the props.

Sci-fi sequel: The story of Star Trek: Picard is not necessarily over yet

Even though the series will probably not continue after the three seasons, lead actor Patrick Stewart will still be seen in his role as Picard. Back in October last year, Deadline reported that Stewart would like to make one last Star Trek film, as he was not satisfied with the end of the series. He has precise ideas about how the character should celebrate its grand finale and would like co-star Jonathan Frakes to direct it.

In a podcast earlier this year, Stewart talked about a new Star Trek script that was written specifically for his character. The actor sounded enthusiastic, saying that so far the script would show more experimentation, allowing him to add more facets to the character he has played since 1987. Until then, you can get in the mood for the upcoming project with the entire series Star Trek: Picard
