Batman has already been looked at from many angles. But we still haven’t gotten a version in the cinema – and the original is great!
Michael Keaton, Christian Bale and, most recently, Robert Pattinson have shaped our image of Batman on the big screen. On television, Kevin Conroy lent his voice to the dark avenger for the animated Batman series. And it was this animated version that spawned an often forgotten sequel that shows us Batman as he is still missing on the big screen: Batman of the Future.
Yves explains what makes Batman of the Future so brilliant in his video here:
Kevin Conroy also voiced the aged Batman in the sequel to the popular 90s animated series and Mark Hamill also returned once again as the Joker.
What is Batman of the Future about?
In Batman of the Future (in the original: Batman Beyond), time has caught up with the protector of Gotham City. Bruce Wayne is too old to spend his nights fighting crime and has to step down. He is replaced by the young Terry McGinnis. Through his conflict between his nocturnal superhero and day-to-day private life, video editor Yves draws parallels with Spider-Man. The friendly neighborhood spider also always drew its drama from the contrast between Spider-Man and Peter Parker
A Batman of the Future movie coming?

According to their own statements, the idea had already been pitched to the studio behind the successful Spider-Verse films, but Warner immediately dampened expectations.
