Netflix’s fantasy series about Greek gods gets by with far fewer togas and sandals than you might think. At least in the first teaser with Jeff Goldblum as Zeus.
Jurassic Park star Jeff Goldblum is pretty damn cool. He is not only an actor, but also a jazz musician and has a correspondingly unusual fashion style. So we shouldn’t really be surprised when Netflix hires him for a version of god-daddy Zeus that doesn’t walk around in a flowing toga and greasy sandals in the fantasy series Kaos. But here we are, in the face of the first teaser trailer with tracksuit and gold watch bling bling… and it still knocks our socks off a bit
Coming soon to Netflix: fantasy fun with a Greek god in midlife crisis
In the black-humored mythology dramedy from UK series creator Charlie Covell (The End of the F***ing World), the almighty Zeus notices that he is getting on in years and fears the end of his reign. This is not at all good for his subjects and the world, as it makes him irritable and paranoid.
Is the end of all time imminent? And what do six people have to do with it, who suddenly realize that they are involved in an ancient prophecy and a Greek conspiracy of the gods?

Who was originally supposed to become a Netflix series Zeus
Obergott Zeus has undergone a minor transformation since the original Kaos casting. Hugh Grant, known from Paddington 2 and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, was actually supposed to take on the role. However, scheduling problems prevented him from doing so, so Goldblum was in front of the camera in Spain from August 2022
