Netflix is soon to drop the best superhero trilogy and fantasy horror with Keanu Reeves from its program

by Tommy

Until the end of March, Netflix is removing a few real genre highlights from its program that you shouldn’t miss. Not only action and fantasy fans will get their money’s worth here.

The long Easter weekend is just around the corner, giving you enough time to quickly stream a few movie highlights on Netflix that will be removed from the streaming service’s program at the end of March. These include Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy and the fantasy film Bram Stoker’s Dracula with Keanu Reeves and Gary Oldman. But that’s not all. All of the films listed are still available until March 31, 2024

Christan Bale as the Dark Knight and Heath Ledger in his best role

For the last time, Netflix gives you the chance to travel to Gotham City and immerse yourself in the world of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy. For many cinephiles, the series starring Christian Bale as the Dark Knight is considered the absolute pinnacle of superhero cinema, revolutionizing the genre in the 2000s and making Heath Ledger immortal in the role of the Joker.

Fantasy horror cult with Keanu Reeves and Gary Oldman

Few Dracula adaptations are as entertaining as those by Francis Ford Coppola, who hired Gary Oldman (who incidentally also appears in the Dark Knight trilogy) in the role of the iconic vampire and created a genuine cult film in 1992 with Bram Stoker’s Dracula. In the film, paralegal Jonathan Harker (Keanu Reeves) is invited by the notorious Count Dracula (Oldman) to his castle in Transylvania. The vampire prince notices that Jonathan’s fiancée (Winona Ryder) looks very much like his deceased wife. In return, Jonathan realizes Dracula’s deepest secret.

On the high seas with Marvel and Oppenheimer stars

If you don’t like it quite so dark and want to go on an adventure on the high seas instead, Ron Howard’s In the Heart of the Sea might be more to your liking. In 1819, a whaling ship led by Captain Pollard (Benjamin Walker) sets off on a hunt in the Pacific Ocean. However, the crew of 19 gets into all kinds of trouble – and a bitter struggle for survival begins. The cast includes Thor star Chris Hemsworth, Spider-Man Tom Holland and the newly crowned Oscar winner Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer).

The American Dream with Steven Yeun

If you prefer to take it a little easier over the Easter weekend, Minari – Where We Take Root is another highlight in the Netflix program that will soon disappear from the streaming service. It stars The Walking Dead and Beef star Steven Yeun as a father and husband who emigrates with his family from Korea to Arkansas in the USA in order to fulfill his dream of owning his own small farm. When the goal seems within reach, however, the big dream begins to crumble. The drama by director and screenwriter Lee Isaac Chung was nominated for six Oscars in 2021, including Best Picture.

Cult comedy that has just been re-released in cinemas

Finally, here’s a recommendation for the comedy lovers among you, who will be well served by Girls Club – Vorsicht bissig! Based on a screenplay by SNL alumna Tina Fey, Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried play themselves against the wall in this bitter satire, which served as the basis for this year’s hit movie Mean Girls – The Girls Club. Teenager Cady arrives at her new school and clashes with the mean girl clique of the Plastics led by Regina George. Get ready for lots of iconic lines!

More exciting movie highlights disappearing from Netflix at the end of March 2024

All of the latter titles are also online until March 31, 2024. We assume that Netflix will add many more new films to its program at the beginning of April
