Perfect Road House replacement new on Netflix: ultra-tough fights compete with Jake Gyllenhaal on Amazon

by Dennis

The martial arts film Road House with Jake Gyllenhaal is currently a hit on Amazon Prime Video. If you want more from this genre, we recommend Bleed for This on Netflix.
Miles Teller showed what he’s made of with Whiplash at the latest. The actor is particularly good in dramas, but he also shines in action films such as Top Gun: Maverick. He was able to demonstrate a mixture of both in his role as Vincenzo “Vinny” Pazienza in Bleed for This by Ben Younger.

If you enjoyed Road House on Amazon Prime Video, then you should definitely take a look at the sports film starring Teller. It is based on a true story, tells of a bitter blow of fate and, of course, there is also a fight in the ring.

You can now stream Bleed for This with Miles Teller on Netflix

Five world titles and a broken neck: Miles Teller plays the Pazmanian Devil on Netflix

Bleed for This is based on the story of professional boxer Vinny Pazienza, who won the International Boxing Federation’s lightweight world title in the 1980s. At the beginning of the 90s, he changed weight class and became the World Boxing Association’s half-middleweight champion. He went on to win further super-middleweight world titles in three other federations, making him a five-time world champion in three weight classes.

He had to relinquish the WBA title in 1991. After his traffic accident and broken neck, he was unable to defend the title. The accident should have been the end of his career. At least that’s what the doctors told him. But Pazienza was not ready to give up. He returned three years later to continue fighting successfully. He has since been inducted into two halls of fame (the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame and the Connecticut Boxing Hall of Fame).
