The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live has brought Rick and Michonne back into the universe of the zombie series. But have you spotted Daryl actor Norman Reedus?
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live ended a week ago with episode 6 on MagentaTV. After the finale, a second season is questionable, even if a reunion with the two fan favorites Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) would still be possible elsewhere. However, the fact that TWD favorite Norman Reedus (aka Daryl Dixon) has also sneaked into the new series may have escaped most people’s notice while watching

After the end of The Walking Dead in 2022, several particularly popular characters got their own series in the TWD cosmos. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon shipped Norman Reedus to Europe. But the actor, who has been part of the zombie universe since the first season, didn’t miss out on secretly lurking around in the background of his pal Rick Grimes’ series:

In episode 1 of The Ones Who Live, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) has a conversation with Esteban (Frankie Quinones) on the grounds of the CRM (Civic Republic Military). Eagle-eyed people need to look very closely here: Because on a bench in the green, Norman Reedus is lying some distance away, resting his head on the lap of another CRM resident. A set photo by Frankie Quinones definitively proves that Norman Reedus and Andrew Lincoln were indeed on location together:

Of course, Norman Reedus does not play his character Daryl Dixon during the unexpected guest appearance. After all, Mr. Dixon would already have to be in France at this point in TWD. Otherwise, it would be pretty mean of Daryl to sneak into the top-secret community in Philadelphia without saying hello to his missing friend.
Warning, spoilers for the rest of The Walking Dead universe:
Norman Reedus being on the set of The Ones Who Live is a nice gesture nonetheless. And who knows: maybe there are already signs of a Rick and Daryl reunion here. Because now that Rick, Michonne and the Grimes children have reunited, the only thing missing for the fans is a reunion between the two long-time friends.
Daryl doesn’t yet know that Rick has returned. However, Carol (Melissa McBride) hinted with her mysterious radio message in season 1 of TWD: Daryl Dixon that this could soon change
