Luke Wright (Jason Statham) used to be one of the toughest cops in the whole of New York and part of a special unit. However, he has long since left his past behind him and lives as a homeless man on the streets of Manhattan. Until one day he happens to see the little girl Mei (Catherine Chan) being stalked and harassed by a group of creeps.
Luke Wright intervenes, rescues the child and soon realizes that he has stumbled into something much bigger than he would have liked. Because this girl has a photographic memory and has memorized a mysterious code. That’s why not only a whole bunch of mobsters want to get their hands on the child, but also various corrupt cops that Luke Wright remembers from the past

This is where Jason Statham’s qualities meet an entire city as a setting. While the actor simply does what he does best (punching, shooting and making cool remarks), he is given a backdrop that already looked great in Die Hard
