Physicist and professor Jason Desson (Edgerton) leads a happy family life in Chicago with his wife Daniela (Jennifer Connelly) and his children. At least until one day he is mysteriously abducted and wakes up the next morning in an alternate reality. Suddenly he has to protect his family from an evil force he never expected: himself.

Dark Matter is based on the 2016 bestselling novel of the same name by Blake Crouch, who also serves as the series’ creator, executive producer and showrunner. In addition to Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Connelly, the cast list for the series includes Alice Braga (I Am Legend), Dayo Okeniyi (The Hunger Games), Oakes Fegley (Elliot the Dragon) and Jimmi Simpson (Westworld).
When and where can you watch Dark Matter?
The 1st season of Dark Matter will comprise 9 episodes and will start with a double episode on May 8, 2024 on Apple TV+. After that, new episodes will be released on Wednesdays every week until the finale concludes season 1 on June 26, 2024
