Eagle-eyed Netflix subscribers may have noticed that the action thriller Havoc from The Raid director Gareth Evans has still not been announced for 2024. Yet the film, starring Venom star Tom Hardy in the hard-boiled lead role, has been in the can since 2021 and rumored to be ready by 2023 at the latest.

What is the action thriller Havoc with Tom Hardy about?
Not much is known about the long-awaited action thriller: Hardy plays a detective named Walker who has to fight his way through the criminal underworld after a drug deal goes wrong. In a sinister web of conspiracies and corruption, he is tasked with rescuing the estranged son of a politician.
The cast also includes Oscar-winner Forest Whitaker, Luis Guzmán and Timothy Olyphant as well as Jessie Mei Li, Yann Yann Yeo and martial arts expert Michelle Waterson-Gomez.

Is Havoc still coming to Netflix in 2024?
According to the colleagues at World of Reel, Havoc could be shown at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) this September. Alternatively, Netflix will forgo the festival circuit and simply release the film online in the second half of 2024. As always, however, caution must be exercised with WoR, as we are in the realm of rumors.
As soon as we hear more concrete information about the film’s release, we will of course sound the alarm.
