Fantasy adventure Aang: The Last Airbender with new cinema release in January 2026
Aang: The Last Airbender should have kicked off the spin-off trilogy on October 9, 2025. As Variety reports, the fantasy adventure is now set to hit US cinemas on January 20, 2026. So the good news is that it’s only three months late. It is not yet known exactly when the film can be expected in cinemas here in Germany, but a similar release date can be expected

While Eric Nam (Transplant) is to lend his voice to the title hero Aang in the English original, Dune 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista will be heard as the as yet unnamed antagonist. The film’s voice cast also includes Jessica Matten (The Empty Man) as Katara, Dionne Quan (Bratz) as Toph, Dante Basco (Hook) as Zuko and Román Zaragoza (Ghosts) as Sokka.
Lauren Montgomery, who already worked on the original series, will take a seat in the director’s chair together with Willam Mata. Avatar – The Lord of the Elements creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko are involved in the film as executive producers. Details about the story of the spin-off are not yet known
