Since last week, you can watch an action-packed mixture of war film and thriller on Amazon Prime. Reacher fans in particular will get their money’s worth here.
Just a few days ago, it was announced that the war film Land of Bad would be released exclusively on Amazon Prime in Germany. On Friday, the latest work by director William Eubank celebrated its local premiere – and with great success: Land of Bad landed directly in the streaming charts.
Anyone who wanted to pass the time waiting for Reacher season 3 with action and suspense at the weekend should have been very happy with the fast-paced 110 minutes of Land of Bad. The smash hit starring the Hemsworth brothers Liam and Luke (Thor-Hemsworth Chris is unfortunately not in it) proved to be a streaming magnet

The story tells of a Delta Force team on a dangerous mission. In the Philippines, the US military is to take action against the Islamist terrorist organization Abu Sayyaf. Despite careful planning, the team falls into an ambush and is now reliant on the skills of drone pilot Reaper (Russell Crowe).

Land of Bad is currently the most popular movie of the weekend in third place in the Amazon Prime streaming charts. It only had no chance against two series giants. The comedy high-flyer LOL: Last One Laughing took second place and the end-time sci-fi adventure Fallout held its position in first place.
The film’s director alone is a reason in favor of Land of Bad. Eubank has his roots in the indie sector and made an impressive debut in 2011 with the extraordinary sci-fi drama Love. His best directorial work to date is the deep-sea horror thriller Underwater starring Kristen Stewart.

In recent years, Eubank has established himself more and more as an interesting filmmaker in the genre field. After making a name for himself with set pieces from science fiction cinema (Love, The Signal), he has recently become particularly interested in horror material (Underwater, Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin). With Land of Bad, he shows Amazon Prime what he’s got in the rough and tumble action department.
