The Deadpool & Wolverine trailer is here and promises a crazy superhero fest with plenty of Easter Eggs. It also contains a suspicious reference to Iron Man…

The trailer for Deadpool 3 has arrived and finally shows us more of Hugh Jackman, who makes his big return as Wolverine in the superhero sequel. In addition to the X-Men star and the titular loudmouthed mercenary (Ryan Reynolds), the trailer also hints at a whole host of other heroes and villains who could play a role in Deadpool & Wolverine.

While the giant helmet of Ant-Man aka Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) hints at a possible appearance and various X-Men stars are teased around Azael and Lady Deathstrike, there is one particular reference that should make every MCU heart beat faster. Because the return of Tony Stark aka Iron Man may be hinted at here

Iron Man in Deadpool & Wolverine? His logo is hidden in the new trailer

A few weeks ago, set photos of Deadpool & Wolverine were already circulating online, showing vehicles reminiscent of Johann Schmidt’s coupe aka Red Skull from Captain America – The First Avenger. A similar vehicle now appears in the trailer for Deadpool 3. However, instead of being adorned with the HYDRA logo, the front of the car is emblazoned with Iron Man’s mask

/JWhat exactly the vehicle in the Deadpool 3 trailer means is still unclear, but it could belong to a version of Tony Stark in an alternate timeline of the multiverse. Deadpool and Wolverine could therefore meet this alternative Iron Man in the movie. Whether this will happen and whether it will be played by Robert Downey Jr. can only be guessed at so far

When is Deadpool & Wolverine coming to the movies?

Deadpool & Wolverine, directed by Shawn Levy (Free Guy), will be released in cinemas on July 24, 2024. In addition to Reynolds and Jackman, the film’s regular cast includes Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Rob Delaney as Peter and Matthew Macfayden as Paradox.
