After 14 seasons, the crime series Blue Bloods is set to come to a surprising end. Series star Donnie Wahlberg has now taken another opportunity to express his displeasure.
Despite a loyal fan base and black figures for US broadcaster CBS, crime hit Blue Bloods – Crime Scene New York is to come to an end after 14 seasons. The series stars around Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg have already let it be known on several occasions in the past that they are just as unsupportive of this decision as the followers of the successful format. Now the Danny Raegan actor is once again firing back against the Blue Bloods cancellation

Donnie Wahlberg continues to mourn the premature end of Blue Bloods

The actor was a guest on the Drew Berrymore Show (via Deadline ) together with his Blue Bloods colleague Bridget Moynahan, where the presenter asked about their feelings about the end of the series. Donnie Wahlberg explained that he was still “upset and sad” about the show’s cancellation.

Bridget Moynahan went on to explain that she made the decision primarily because of the people behind the show, with whom she has built a close bond over 14 years:

I think it’s more about saying goodbye to the people behind the characters on the show. We’ve created such a family on set with each other and with the crew – most of the crew have worked with us for 14 years, so we’ve been through a lot of weddings, births, deaths and everything. We’ve been through it all together.
