In the A Quiet Place prequel, we go back to the beginning of the alien invasion, which has already been part of the gruesome everyday life in the previous parts of the sci-fi horror franchise. Flaming meteorites fall from the sky and cause chaos in New York City. Suddenly, the inhabitants are attacked by mysterious creatures and eventually learn that it is breathless silence that allows them to escape from the creatures. Because it is sounds that attract the alien beings.
A Quiet Place: Day One stars Lupita Nyong’o (We), Alex Wolff (Hereditary), Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things), Djimon Hounsou (Blood Diamond) and Denis O’Hare (Dallas Buyers Club), among others, on the big screen. The film was directed by Michael Sarnoski (Pig).
