An extraordinary film that mixes bizarre horror with emotional tenderness is streaming in the Arte media library. You shouldn’t miss Titane
Director David Cronenberg in particular has been known for groundbreaking body horror that has often pushed the boundaries of cinema. Since her second feature film Titane, however, French director Julia Ducournau must also be counted among the most exciting talents in this genre.
Her 2021 work is available to stream for free on the Arte media library until June 14, 2024 between 10 pm and 6 am. You’ve probably never seen such an astonishing mix of extreme mood swings, transgressive images and genre-bending emotions.

After a serious car accident, young Alexia has a titanium plate implanted in her head. Years later, she (now played by Agathe Rousselle) works as an erotic dancer who has developed sexual feelings for cars. After a fatal incident, which is not an isolated act, she has to go into hiding.
