What was going on in season 1 of the Game of Thrones spin-off again

In season 1. Season 1 saw two claims to the throne of Westeros crystallize after the death of King Viserys Targaryen (Paddy Considine): that of Princess Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy), who was named as her father’s successor; and that of Prince Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney), who was only born after the king took Rhaenyra’s childhood friend Alicent Hohenturm (Olivia Cooke) as his wife.

The first ten episodes ended with the uncontrollable dragon of Alicent’s son Aemond (Ewan Mitchell) killing Rhaenyra’s young son Lucerys (Elliot Grihault). The simmering war between Team Black and Team Green has finally been ignited and threatens to set Westeros on fire.

Plot: What happens in season 2 of the fantasy series House of the Dragon?

The fierce battle for the Iron Throne continues. Which great houses of Westeros will join the black side of Queen Rhaenyra and which will join the green side of King Aegon II? This question becomes important in season 2 of House of the Dragon, but of course the control of dragons is also a big issue in the war. Fittingly, one of the season’s taglines is “All must choose”.
