The Percy Jackson series has already been renewed for a second season on Disney+. The cast has already made requests for new additions to the cast, including superstar Zendaya.
After two cinema films, the Percy Jackson universe was successfully revived with a series on Disney+. The first season was so well received that a second season of Percy Jackson: The Series was commissioned in February.
Shortly afterwards, the cast was asked for casting requests for new episodes of the fantasy adventure. The three stars already have concrete ideas, including Dune and Euphoria star Zendaya.
Percy Jackson stars want Zendaya in a very specific role
According to Entertainment Tonight, Walker Scobell, Leah Jeffries and Aryan Simhadri were guests at the Television Critics Association panel in February, where they talked about their personal wish-list stars for season 2 of the Disney+ series.
In addition to Hunger Games star Sam Claflin as the god Apollo, the Percy Jackson cast would also like to see Zendaya in the role of Athena. She would then be the mother of Jeffries’ character Annabeth Chase in the series.
