The trailer for The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare:
Cavill and Ritchie are a well-rehearsed team. With the entertaining spy thriller Codename U.N.C.L.E., they delivered a great James Bond alternative in 2015. Now we can look forward to seeing how they approach Quentin Tarantino’s wild foray into history. The plot sounds very similar to Inglourious Basterds.
In The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, which was inspired by true events, we get to know the first special unit of the British military. It was founded by Prime Minister Winston Churchill. The most famous member: Ian Fleming, the later inventor of James Bond. In the film, he is played by Freddie Fox.
The cast also includes Eiza González (3 Body Problem), Alan Ritchson (Reacher), Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians), Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride) and Alex Pettyfer (I Am Number Four). Another Inglourious Basterds parallel is provided by Til Schweiger (Honig im Kopf), who can be seen in a small supporting role.
