Mighty battle in sight: House of the Dragon unleashes Westeros’ mightiest dragon in the trailer for episode 4

Season 2 of House of the Dragon calls for a dragon dance. This is clear from the preview of the upcoming episode, in which Westeros will burn and shake

The war between Team Green and Team Black will escalate in earnest next weekend. At least, if we go by the House of the Dragon trailer for episode 2×04, which not only shows an impending decapitation and marching troops, but also hot dragon action that fans have been waiting for since the start of the current season.

We’ll probably have to update our article about the deaths in House of the Dragon after that. Here is the trailer:

“You must send the dragons to war”: This is how hot the upcoming episode of House of the Dragon will be

Queen Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) gives the order to unleash her dragons in the episode. But who we get to see, especially in the preview, is Aemond Targaryen (Ewan Mitchell) from the opposing side on Vhagar, the oldest and most powerful dragon in all of Westeros. Not for nothing is the monster nicknamed the queen of all dragons. Only the long-dead Balerion was greater.

Vhagar was named after a Valyrian deity and has already fought several historic battles with Visenya and Baelon Targaryen. Most recently, Laena Velaryon (Nanna Blondell) was her dragon rider until she allowed herself to be burned alive by her dragoness during a pregnancy with fatal complications. Aemond then risked his life to establish a connection to Vhagar – which he even succeeded in doing, much to the chagrin of Leana’s children.

Team Green thus has the largest single power in all of Westeros and also has the smaller dragons Sunfire and Dreamfire on its side. Team Black can be sure of a larger arsenal of dragons. This includes Caraxes, Meleys, Moon Dancer, Sea Smoke, Syrax, Tyraxes and Vermax. Silverwing and Vermithor are currently riderless.

And if the many humans in House of the Dragon confuse you even more than the few dragons, we have a handy, spoiler-free family tree for you
