Something absolutely monstrous has existed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for three years, but no one is talking about it. It’s going to take Captain America to get it out of the way
The first teaser trailer for Captain America 4: Brave New World caused quite a stir with one scene in particular: Harrison Ford transforms into Red Hulk and rams the iconic Captain America shield into the ground as if it were a frisbee he has just caught among the idyllic cherry blossom trees.
If you take a closer look at the teaser trailer for the next Captain America film, you will also discover another exciting detail: Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) flies past the outline of a gigantic creature. And this creature is Tiamut, or rather his mortal remains, half sticking out of the ground.
Eternals sends its regards: Captain America 4 finally addresses the Tiamut problem in the Marvel Cinematic Universe
“What’s a Tiamut?”, Harrison Ford would probably say at this point, so let’s jump back to 2021 for a moment. That’s when the MCU blockbuster Eternals hit theaters and introduced us to a new group of superheroes who are confronted with an unfathomable event: the birth of a Celestial on Earth.

The Celestials are giant, god-like beings and the one born in Eternals is called Tiamut. From the Earth’s core, he wants to reach the surface, which would destroy the entire planet. The Eternals manage to stop the birth halfway through, but they can’t make Tiamut disappear.
The thing is: although the larger-than-life Celestial corpse is hard to miss, this fact has been completely ignored by all the MCU movies that have been released since Eternals hit theaters – and that’s seven of them now!
All MCU films since Eternals:
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)
Thor 4: Love and Thunder (2022)
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023)
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023)
The Marvels (2023)
