What’s the new Terminator series on Netflix about?
The Japanese production is set in Tokyo in 1997, shortly before the well-known Day of Reckoning. Skynet and the machines are about to declare war on humans. Scientist Malcolm Lee (André Holland) is developing a competing AI system and is protected by a cyber warrior who has come to our present from the future. Other killer machines want to eliminate him.
The showrunner of Terminator Zero is Mattson Tomlin, who has described the animated series in advance as a return to the serial killer vibes of the first film with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Timothy Olyphant (Justified) can be heard as the voice of the iconic killing machine in the original
